Hi,
I have a customer who has just upgraded his decmcc system from 1.2.3 to
polycenter V2.3 Network Manager and now he is experiencing problems with the
IMPM.
If he attempts to clear a notification from the map while he has
the "Display Notification" still open the process crashes back to VMS with the
following message
%CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows
-SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=00000048,
PC=002683DB, PSL=03C00004
%TRACE-F-TRACEBACK, symbolic stack dump follows
module name routine name line rel PC abs PC
                                                           0004B4C4  0004B4C4
                                                           0007C382  0007C382
                                                           000771DC  000771DC
                                                           0007A878  0007A878

At the time of installation the the product specifies Motif V1.1.3. However, I
have analysed his
DECW$SERVER_MAIN.EXE and the image ident is "DW V1.1-920620" which is the same as
on my system and i don't appear to have any problems.
When he starts windows up for the product he gets the following message:-
X Toolkit Warning: Urm__CW_ConvertValue: Couldn't convert fontlist font '' -
MrmNOT_FOUND
Does anyone have any ideas.
Bipin.

	Hi,
	I have the same pb on a customer site.
	Two kinds of results :
		If I CLEAR a notification from the "Display Notification" I got :
%CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows
-SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=00000048,
PC=002683DB, PSL=03C00004
%TRACE-F-TRACEBACK, symbolic stack dump follows
module name routine name line rel PC abs PC
                                                           0004B4C4  0004B4C4
                                                           0007C382  0007C382
                                                           000771DC  000771DC
                                                           0007A878  0007A878

		OR I Can't close the Display Notification WINDOW created.
		It stays forever on the ICONIC MAP .....
		BUt I can select another entity and use DISPLAY NOTICATION until
		to get the two kinds of results.

| Hi, Looking through notes and the QAR database, this appears to be a fairly common problem. However, the systems are not always the same. Is there a fix to decmcc or motif ?. Bipin | |||||
| 5220.3 | Little connection | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz | Tue Jun 22 1993 11:59 | 10 |
| %CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows conveys virtually no information. All it is telling us is that the threads package exception handler detected a problem. It does not give any indication as to the source of the underlying problem. So problems under different circumstances are likely to be unrelated, even if they share this symptom. -- Erik | |||||

| Hi Eric, Is there anything i can setup on the system to give you more info, seeing as the customer can reproduce this at will. Bipin. | |||||
