| 5023.1 | SHOW PROC/CONT to see what state you are in... | CUJO::HILL | Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident | Thu May 27 1993 17:43 | 15 |
| | Try doing the following to gather info.

    $ SHOW PROC/CONT/ID=<pid_of_impm_process>

    See what state it is in. There were some strange bugs in this area
    that I recall with EFT1.2 that may have not been completely cleared
    up in V1.2.

    Does this work if you leave the map window up?

    There have also been numerous Motif bug fixes since V5.5-2 was
    released. One was related to a problem that can show itself
    when using applications like MCC that use many windows.

| | I wish I could check the process state, but since I have expereinced
    the problem, we have upgraded to v1.3 and we no longer have this
    trouble.

| 5023.3 | Also on DECmcc V1.3/ULTRIX | KETJE::PACCO | Gallia divisa est in partes tres | Thu Jun 03 1993 11:05 | 10 |
| | I also got freezes of the ICMP, while I was working in aliging,
    dragging etc... icons on the window. It was on V1.3/ULTRIX.

    The only way out was "mcc_kill"

    It happened 3 times, but reproducing it systematically was not
    possible.

    	Regards,
    	Dominique.

|  | Dominique,
We have recently identified and fixed a bug in the area of dragging, aligning
which would cause an infinite loop (ie the Iconic Map freezes). The fix has
been made and the fix will be available in the MUP.
