    Hi, I've a customer who have the following queries :-
    
    1) He wish to upgrade his VAXSTATION 3100 model 48 to a VAXSTATION 4000
       model 60 and run DECMCC and VCS on it at the same time.
    
    Questions - What would be the impact on the VAXSTATION 4000 ? Any
    		negative effect ? Is this supported or workable ?
    	      - How much memory is required so that performance is not
    		compromised ? He is suggesting 32 MB. Is this enough ?
              
    2) He has intention to purchase the VITALINK AM. Is it still required
       and able to work with DECMCC-EMS 2.2 ? What about the SNMP AM ?
       Could it support the VITALINK bridges and how ? Should I advise him
       to use VITALINK AM or SNMP to manage his VITALINK bridges ?

	VCS is mostly a CPU hog. MCC is mostly a memory hog. It's a match made in heaven! ;^) Sorry, but anything more would require some empirical analysis of the systems and your proposed configuration... Have you tried the capacity planner tool (pointer in MCC-TOOLS conference) to do initial swag at MCC-ONLY sizing? That would at least give you a hint if you were in the right neighborhood wrt system capacity for DECmcc... > 2) He has intention to purchase the VITALINK AM.
