3710.0. "Many events cause MCC_EVC_SINK error (Network Partner exited)" by KAOFS::BOIVIN (Moi, j'viens du nord!) Wed Sep 09 1992 11:58
Good day,
I'm using DECmcc V1.2 SSB and MCC_EVC_SEND (from MCC_EXAMPLES) to send
events to data collectors in various domains.
At certain times, many simultaneous events occur and 4 or 5 processes try to
run MCC_EVC_SEND to the same collector node. Here's a sample log:
....
$ Send_evc = "$MCC_COMMON:MCC_EVC_SEND"
....
$ send_evc KAOU34 KAOFS_DC "Node4 KAFSV6" -
"Disk DAD21: looks bad (Software write locked)" "%DCM, DCM_C_DSS - 9-SE
P 11:12 KAFSV6 Disk DAD21: looks bad (Software write locked)" "Major"
%SYSTEM-F-LINKEXIT, network partner exited
$ evc_status = $status
.....
I believe I saw a note somewhere in here that said a patch was coming... Was I
dreaming or is this a new problem (that I should QAR?).
Thanks,
Ed
