Can anyone tell us if the DECmcc group has access to an Alpha system? It would be nice to know that there will be no gotchas or show stoppers on these new platforms! Al

| 2032.1 | Hoping for a Flamingo in February! | MCDOUG::MCPHERSON | Scientific progress goes 'Boink!' | Mon Jan 06 1992 15:13 | 13 |
| As far as I know, no one has access to an Alpha system (or if they do,
    they're flat out with EFT work...). The only one I think is in proto
    right now is Laser. Flamingo and Cobra are neck and neck (picture
    that!).
    I am on the list of candidates for Flamingo "wrecking crew". DECmcc
    interoperability testing is *the* primary reason I put in for the
    nomination (beyond the prestige and glory of being the first kid on the
    block with an Alpha workstation, of course...). However, there is a
    _finite_ number of these protos going out and we may not get it... Hope
    to, tough.

| Well, depending on what you mean by "latest"... Work is in progress, but DECmcc is not yet running on either Alpha platform, and schedules for that work have not yet been published. | |||||
