1143.0. "DECmcc Installation Walkthrough" by BSYBEE::EGOLF (John C. Egolf LKG2-2/T02 x226-7874) Fri Jun 14 1991 12:45
We have created a working document that walks a user through,
by example, setting a system up from scratch (assumes VAX/VMS
V5.4 and DECnet are installed and working) by showing how to
set up SYSGEN parameters, Process quotas, installing all
necessary layered products, loading/convering the database,
creating rules, creating historian/export processes, and
	generating reports.
Issues around configuring DECdns are covered as well.
I strongly suggest that anybody responsible for installing
DECmcc and/or any of the layered products copy this over the
	net and review it.

If you *ONLY* like to review the Table of contents, you can
copy and print the FULLINSTALLTOC.PS file, the FULLINSTALL.PS
is complete with TOC included but is quite lengthy.
	All comments are appreciated.
This doc will be used in a customer training session.

    John,

Although I have not copied and read these documents *yet*, this kind of
information is excellent. In order for the field to deliver DECmcc in
volume we need to provide as much useful set-up/configuration
    information as possible.

    Re.0

For those of you who are doing DECmcc installations, you may be
interested in taking a look at the documents listed in .0, especially
if you are new at this.

| | Node BSYBEE has left with its owner, and is now in a hidden area.
If you think you are reaching it, your DECnet databse is probably out
of date.
Please see note 3.140 for up to date pointers to documents.
Note that the documents listed here have largely been replaced by
updated documentation in V1.2
