I had a problem using the 'register' command with a new AM
that I'm building. I've figured out what the problem was
but I'm concerned about the error message displayed by MCC.
The problem I had was that the DNS namespace
MCC_<class>_BACKTRANSLATION did not exist on the DNS server.
When I attempted to use the 'register' command, it failed
with the following ambiguous error:
MCC> register concentrator conc1 address 08-00-2b-14-14-7b
CONCENTRATOR DEGABA_NS:.conc1
AT 20-MAR-1991 10:52:45
The requested operation cannot be completed
MCC Routine Error = %MCC-W-ENTUNKNOWN, unknown entity:!AD
When I create the DNS namespace it works ok.
My question: Is this the error message that is expected or
should I be seeing a more informative one saying that there is a
problem with DNS?
Thanks,
Paul C

In MCC version 1.1, we don't have a CVR to describe this problem in
DNS function call.
We need to introduce a new CVR to tell the problem to the user in a
more descriptive way.
This change is planned for V1.2 release.
Thanks.
