| | Fyi, TSB is a strategic vendor, and has been working on an AM for
	some time now.
I would expect a management interface to allow configuring/starting
/stopping the actual collection, to allow viewing individual call
records, or stats thereon. Actually munging them ( for instance,
pricing them based on usage sensitive trunks, etc. ) would also
	be a management action.
In general, you raise the point that this is an area where a relational
db should be a part of the management module's environment. Currently,
exporting is something you do to previously collected information,
that occurs ( more-or-less ) outside of the DECmcc environment.
	That is, a command like
		MCC> price cdr_file foo.dat
wants to end up in a db, and you'd like MIR support for it. Currently
( I guess ) you would have Historian FM record your (priced)
	information
MCC> record cdr pricing entry *
and later on export it to Rdb via Exporter FM directives.

	Regards,
	Mike ( I remember VAX P/FM ... )

| | To follow up on this, does anyone have an address and contact name at
TSB? I have seen the initials before with reference to the Strategic
Vender list, but have no other information.

Are there any other applications being written to communicate with
PBX's through the Stretegic Vender program?

To be able to "include" a Northern Telecom SL1 in DECmcc at even the
simplest level would give us that edge to beat the competition on the
    RFP.

    Thanks,
    Richard
