| | While somebody here is tracking down your question, people
should know that Vitalink has written their own access module
(with our help). This is being demoed right now at DECworld
and seens to be working very well. This has demonstrated the
Strategic Vendor program in action. Vitalink, TSB, and Codex
are showing DECmcc access modules at DECworld for their
	devices.

I'll have to go review that hunk of the release notes, but here's some
    background:
The Bridge AM _does_ work for Vitalink Bridges to a limited extent. To
the best of my knowledge it will only work with Translan bridges with a
SW rev of 6.9 (and sub-revs thereof) and I am *pretty* sure that it
only supports the SHOW directive. (i.e. you can't SET anything on a
    Vitalink Bridge w/the Bridge AM).
This capability is largely undocumented because (as John mentioned)
Vitalink will be shipping their own AM and any Vitalink functions that
our DEC Bridge AM can handle are unsupported and coincidental. If you
want to try the Bridge AM commands with Vitalink Bridges with O/S
versions other than 6.9 feel free, and please post the results here.
Please don't gripe to the Bridge AM developers if the Bridge AM doesn't
fulfill your Vitalink Bridge management needs; it wasn't intended to.
    regards,
    /doug

| | What has Vitalink said, if anything, in the area of MCC access module
access to their Transpath/Transring product? Are they waiting for our
on again off again Token Ring Strategy announcement?

    					Thx, Stan
