I'm considering installing the MCCSMS software for a DECUS seminar demo. Will the installation overwrite existing products, such as LTM, RBMS, ETHERnim and TSM. If yes, will there be access to the versions from VT's. Greg

For both the DECmcc SMS and DECmcc EMS software packages, the
installation procedure will ask the following question:
"Do you want to purge files replaced by this installation [YES]?"
Obviously, we recommend that the user purge the older versions,
but the user still has the option to keep the files from previous
versions.
Also, the user always has the option to run these applications from
a terminal and not from a workstation. That capability was not
removed with the introduction of the DECmcc Management Station.
You might want to look at the DECmcc Management Station Installation
Guide (p 2-5 for purging files question) for additional information.
