Brief Description of Problem:
-----------------------------
Called and is having trouble dual booting with an Alpha Station 200/166
IS using Firmware v3.9. It will load the SRM console, but not the ARC.
OSTYPE variable is ignored/has no effect, and the only way to get
NT booted is via booting from the CD.
He'll be switching quite a bit so this presents a problem.

Spoke with Leo and indeed to 200/166 has half ROM, resulting in the feature of dual booting difficulties. Leo gave me a pointer to a web document about how to make the process easier (reloading the ROM): http://ftp.digital.com/pub/Digital/Alpha/firmware/utilities/mkbootarc.txt Called the customer back and told him the details.
