Re: 29.20
NO LONGER WEIRD
(18) the family that leaves behind one or more members at a highway
rest stop and fails to realize they are short-handed until way down the
road, as happened in April to a 9-year-old boy whose father left him in
Lloydminster, Manitoba, and did not miss him until he got home to Red
Deer, Alberta, nearly 200 miles away.
That's not weird, it's criminal. Did they send the father to jail or
take the child into care as they did the lady from wherever who was
watching her child left outside a restaurant. There's a big difference
between a pane of glass and 200 miles.

Let's assume the man had left a briefcase full of money at a petrol
station, I suppose that would be a more serious offence.
Leaving a child in your care is not an accident, as I said it is
criminal and it is beyond my comprehension how letting a child out of
ones sight for hours can go unnoticed.
