| As you get older, you tend to get less birthday presents (that doesn't
sound like correct English but never mind!). However, one present of
note that I got is "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking". I wonder if
that's a hint! I've actually read it before but there's no harm in
reading it again. Maybe I'll succeed this time.
And, my beloved is taking me out to dinner tonight. I have strict
orders to eat nothing this afternoon, especially not the choccies that
the MNM bought me!

I should think "As one gets older, one receives fewer presents" is more
correct. Strictly speaking.
At least she didn't use the awful and incorrect "less presents" some
people insist on using.
