    HELLO,

A customer ask me how to disable the use of CRTL/P on alphaserver 4100
     and dec3900 systems.
I don't find any topics in tima about this.
    Is there a solution ?
    Thanks for help.

| Check the console user's documentation for the platform -- most systems have UARTs that will accept <ctrl/p> via the console can also have it disabled via a mechanism such as a console environment variable, switching over to a <break> (framing error) halt. In general, I'd not be using text editors or other tools on the console -- the reason most folks want to disable processing of <ctrl/p> on the console -- I'd use serial terminal lines or workstation interfaces. There are specific system messages that will appear only on the console. Check the WRKSYS::DEC3000 and MVBLAB::ALPHASERVER_4100 notes conferences for pointers to the console manuals. | |||||
