There are tools to handle the timechange under OpenVMS, particularly
for OpenVMS VAX and OpenVMS Alpha V6.2 and later. (This tool may
conflict with other tools -- DECdtss is part of DECnet-Plus, and
NTP is part of UCX -- that try to reset, or try to "drift" the
   system time.)
See SYS$STARTUP:UTC$CONFIGURE_TDF.COM, among others. (This TDF
tool does not "drift" the clock.)
For information on the EXE$GL_TIMEADJUST and EXE$GL_TICKLENGTH
cells on OpenVMS Alpha, see _OpenVMS AXP Internal and Data
Structures", Page 348. (DIGITAL-Internal folks can perform a
COMET search for EXE$GL_TICKLENGTH. Also see ALPHANOTES_V1
   4402.*, ALPHANOTES_V2 146.*, and VMSNOTES_V12 1927.*. Among
   others.)
As for questions on DISK$FREEWAREV20:[SET_CLOCK]SETCLOCK, please
contact the authors directly. Jamie Hanrahan appears likely one.
(Based on what I see, that tool just needs to be "run".)

| | Michael, the value for TICKLENGTH is Ok, but the value for TIMEADJUST
should be %hex 01194000 (18432000 decimal). Also, you should be aware
that this program must execute on the PRIMARY CPU in a Multiprocessor
system if more than 1 CPU is active.

    John.

Btw, What is an "AXP"?? :)
