    I would ask this in the VMS_ALPHA_CROSS_TOOLS conference, but I doubt
    anyone is monitoring it any more... I have kept a V5.5-2 system around
    for a number of reasons. This system has the Cross Tools kit installed.
    
    Problem is, I don't remember, and can't find, anything on the system 
    to tell me which version it is. I _think_ I have x2.8 (for AVMS V1.5)
    though it may be x2.4 (for FT 1.5). The kit directories for x2.4 and
    x2.8 on BULOVA are empty, so I can't compare the saveset contents...
    
    Does anyone have any ideas how I can determine which version I have?

    I have several of the cross-tools from the V1.5 and V6.1 kits.  I don't
    remeber which V2.n version that maps to.  However, a data point is
    that my ALPHA_LINK.EXE from my V1.5 area was linked on 21-APR-1993
    15:58:22.56.
    
    That might help you determine if have the V1.5 or an earlier kit.
