Hi, There is a cooklist on how to improve OpenVMS Backup performance. It is based mainly in username account quotas (WSQUOTA, BYTLM, ...) Is this still valid when doing backups with ABS ? I ask this because I remember something in the past with SLS having a special backup image with WSQUOTA 'hardcoded', so no influence when changing username quotas. Alberto,
That article about setting parameters for VMS Backup is valid.
The alternate_backup image that ABS/SLS uses doesn't set any
parameters.
The parameters on the ABS account should be the values used
by the backups.
