Hi,
I have a problem getting started with ABS-OMT,
When I try :
$ RUN ABS$SYSTEM:ABS_CLIENT_LICENSE.EXE
Would you like to Add/Modify/Remove/Show the Client License?: Add
Enter Node Name: ctp021.cth.dec.com
Client Node Type (UNIX or NT) [UNIX]: NT
Enter TCPIP Port Number [1800]:
%CLIENT-F-Licensing Error
%LICENSE-F-NOLICENSE, no license is active for this software product
I have the license:
ABS-OMT DEC 0 0 100 0.0 7-FEB-1998 (none)
In the manual,
Archive/Backup System for OpenVMS Management Tools Installation Guide
I found the note :
ABS OMT automatically provides one NT client license.
Is it true ?
jean-pierre corre
PS
I did not find the license ABS-NT-CLIENT-USER (I have no access to VTX PAKS)

| 377.1 | Where did you get the kit? | COOKIE::HEISLER | Chris Heisler, ABS Engineering | Wed Feb 12 1997 09:15 | 10 |
jean-pierre,
Where did you get the kit? Is it from a cd-rom, or did you
get it from the AIM$PUBLIC directory? The licenses that are
currently in the AIM$PUBLIC directory are expired. I'll
check to see what we can do with that. The cd-rom is supposed
to have a license for the product, including the abs-nt-client-user
license.

| 377.4 | ABS OMT Field Test is over | COOKIE::CROSS | Wed Feb 12 1997 16:41 | 7 | |
JP, The ABS OMT Field Test ended in January - which is why the licenses in the web FT kit have expired. The ABS OMT product that ships to customers in the Enterprise Integration Package includes the relevant licenses. | |||||
