    Hi,
    
    	We have a situation, where a customer has OpenVMS V6.2 running on
    AlphaServer 4100. Now The customer has a requirement to plug this
    system on X.25 Network. Customer has requirement to run OVMS V6.2, I
    guess he has application constraints. He does not want to upgrade.
    So we are proposing the following:
    
    	X.25 Sync Card : DNSES (Dual port EISA adaptor)
    	X.25 Software  : QL-OTHA9-** (X.25 V 1.1b)
    	DECnet/OSI V6.2 
    We are in a fix as to what is the workable solution, as per SPD X.25
    V1.1b requires DECnet/OSI V7.0 and OpenVMS V7.0+. This beats our
    purpose, because customer wishes to stick with OpenVMS V6.2.
    
    A sales deal is pegging on this, so immediate support would be highly
    appreciated. We need the right workable solution (with part numbers if
    possible) for X.25 card+X.25 Software +Decnet/OSI on OpenVMS V6.2
    Alpha.

You need X.25 V1.0-G for VMS V6.2.

The PBXDP PCI sync card has been tested on AlphaServer 4100 
systems. I don't know the qualification status but you could 
ask the product manager (John WRKSYS::Eyemaro). To use this card
on the AlphaServer 4100 requires the console firmware from the
DEC '96 console firmware CD (or a later version) and a patched
device driver for the card (it suspersedes the driver in the 
X.25 V1.0-G kit).

    For the X.25 software you will need V1.0g.  The version of DECnet/OSI
    that runs on OpenVMS V6.2 is DECnet/OSI V6.3.  You will need to spcify
    on the order that you want older versions of the product.
