3855.0. "Another SYSTEM-F-PATHLOST." by SEFI04::SYSTEM () Thu Jan 30 1997 05:57
    	Hi folks,

    	I'm experiencing a strange copy problem using a simple procedure
    	from a 3 hosts AS8400 cluster(A)* running OSI 6.3ECO6/OpenVMS V6.2-1H2
    	to onother cluster(B)* with 3 AS8200 running the same version of VMS
    	and OSI (* where A and B are the cluster alias).
    	Both clusters are in the same LAN connected to a DEChub900 via
    	FDDI.

    	From cluster (B) copying continiously a file to cluster (A) I
    	receive (randomly) the following error message:

    	$copy/log/noconf USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext B""::
    	%COPY-S-COPIED, USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext  copied to
    	B""::SYS$SPECIFIC:[FAL$SERVER]file.txt

    	$copy/log/noconf USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext B""::
    	%COPY-E-WRITEERR, error writing B""::SYS$SPECIFIC:[FAL$SERVER]file.ext
    	-RMS-F-SYS, QIO system service request failed
    	-SYSTEM-F-PATHLOST, path to network partner node lost
    	%COPY-W-NOTCMPLT, USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext not completely copied

    	$copy/log/noconf USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext B""::
    	%COPY-S-COPIED, USER_DISK:[directory]file.ext  copied to
    	B""::SYS$SPECIFIC:[FAL$SERVER]file.txt

    	.
    	.
    	.
    	and so on

    	Replacing the cluster alias (B) with the remote host name the
    	copy is successfully.
    	Also the same copy operation from cluster A to cluster B works fine.

    	Thanx for any ideas,
    	/Mba.
