I thought I'd start a new topic called "NFS Servers and Legato Networker under
NT." Additional details are found in Note 333.2.
We're having problems here with a configuration using Legato Networker NT
Client v4.3 and Intergraph's DiskShare v3.0 on an Intel-based Windows NT 4.0
SP2 Server.
I've had to install Legato's 4.3-004 patch which exactly described the
interoperability problem with DiskShare. However, the instructions in the
Legato patch, which removes Networker's portmapper server in place of
Intergraph's, *appears* to be causing a problem with backups.
Has anyone on the Networker team installed patch 4.3-004? If so, do you know
of any problems with replacing Networker's portmapper, and if so, possible
workarounds? I've got the backup server folks scratching their heads on their
end, but I can't believe I'm alone in trying to get both backups and NFS
working on an NT server.

We don't use diskshare here (when we want to share stuff
from unix to nt we use samba, we don't have a need to go
the other way - yet). We will have to pass this question on
to Legato.
