515.0. "Deleting entries from CLIENT INDEX ?" by BACHUS::DEVOS (Manu Devos DEC/SI Brussels 856-7539) Fri Mar 21 1997 07:50
    Hi,

    Maybe it's a stupid question, but I need to delete the contents of a
    saveset in the CLIENT INDEX. How can I do ?

    Here is the context: An ADVFS/FSET filesystem is containing only one
    file for performance reason. It is the journal of a big M/SQL Database.
    At the beginning, I forget to place a ".nsr" file in that directory to
    ask the "skip" of the journal. So, the client index is containing
    journals that I don't want to be recover in case of crash recovery.

    I know I can delete a saveset with "nsrmm -d -S 42123", but after the
    saveset deletion, I can still see the file when I am browsing the
    index. If I ask the volume they are on, then I received "Unknown" as
    expected. is it a way to remove the entries from the Client index ?

    Thanks, Manu.
