I have a problem where we used the UNIX server to backup an NT client, but the Registry does not seem to be saved since it is open. I thought the 'smarts' on how to handle this reside on the client, as the users are telling me the problem is the UNIX system. Thanks! David | |||||

You are correct. The unix system knows nothing about the Registry. It just backs up whatever data is given to it by the client. The client software should know how to deal with backing up the registry. -- Rich Randall |
