    event  viewer on nt V3.51 and altavista
    firewall V1.1.  
    Error
    STOP  The net login service depends on the following nonexistent
    service LanmanServer.
    
    This seems to be a problem with the netlogon service depending on
    the LanmanServer service that was deleted by the firewall.
    
    look in regedt32/Hkey_localmachine/system/currentcontrolset/services
    /netlogon  and look at the dependonservice entry it looks for
    Lanmanserver which is not there. I believe the firewall did away with
    it.
    
    Is this all normal? Firewall seems to function fine.
