    Is anyone able to contact the AltaVista support URL ? Since last
    tursday I can't connect anymore, the URL is :
    
    http://support.altavista.software.digital.com
    
    I always get a SERVER ERROR, tried it from 3 different systems

I think you'll find that there isn't a default home page 
on that server.  Go to altavista.software.digital.com and
bury in to technical support, and you'll find that you can
access come pages on the server that you are trying.

    Both point to the same Discussion Forums.  However, the second pointer
    allows access to more information e.g., kits, presentations, etc.
