     metal polishing techniques, and low energy electron diffration (LEED)

   -Conducted feasibility studies for on-line automated inspectin systems for glass and plastic 
     containers using microscopy, optical techniques, illumination systems, CCD technology, and
     image processing
   -Developed new techniques for non-contact thickness measurement systems, defect detection systems

   -Performed customer demonstrations of various inspection systems
