         Hi,
         
         has any work been done since summer 1996 on handling 
         messages in MIME format on the LNX external mail 
         component on VMS?
         A customer is doing the decomposing and decoding with 
         MIME64 and importing into LNX manually. But that's hard 
         work.

	Hi, Sorry, but there is no support for MIME in VMS. The reason for this is that LNX uses VMS-Mail (MAIL11) as mail provider. MAIL11 filters information out on its interfaces (API) that contain the MIME information. So LNX gets the wrong info. Vincent
