I have a customer who wants to move the cell\pool to another location
(other partition) , how can I do it ?
considering that I've read note 1699 which Jos suggested to:
1) stop all users
2) make a full backup
3) stopcell -a
4) UPDATE objmngr set pooldir = <new location> where om_id = <the om>
UPDATE amyspar set version = version+1
5) move the pool to <new location>
6) restart linkworks
will these steps mentioned above work with this configuration: ?
Customer configuration as follows:
NT 3.51 with Oracle 7.2.2 with LNX 3.0.8 (May release).

Yes that should pretty much do the job. Did not try it myself but according to 1699.4 it worked well. Kind regards, Jos | |||||
