    The LinkWorks mobile laptop client seems further away than ever. As I
    see things now, it won't be implemented in 3.2 nor in 4.0.
    
    Has anyone attempted to implement check-out and check-in functionality
    for objects-with-document? What are the issues? How can they be solved?

I suggest you'll contact Optinet, a partner that has implemented a LinkWorks
disconnected client. It runs on 3.0.8, i.e today.

Try to mail Mr. Rami Shimoni in [email protected]. He will be able to
send you description, prices and so on.

In the base product, the attantion for "remote" users is around the WebWorker.
