turn the tide or will it be the continuation of Harrys' boys.....

Bruins will win tonight... Carey will play great. Be a savior and
Sinden & Kasper will toot each others horn about how well they did
    with this trade.

Bottom line the only thing Harry has going for him is extra $ to sign
some good draft picks (here's hoping we get 1sr overall). Also,
interesting comments in the ESPNzone about how building up the Caps
will help better the pick we get from Hartford. There should be
no doubt that barring problems with the Caps getting both Tocchet and
Oates in their line up there will be no reason why the Caps don't oust
Hartford and Boston then gets another high round pick.

I think Allison and Carter are going to get alot of ice time for Boston
the real question will be can either produce ? I doubt it. They have
no one to play with. Moger& Donato have just become the most talented
forwards on this team... That's bad.

| | Well. Only time will tell how this trade pans out but if Carey plays
tonight it will certainly pique my interest to tune in.
Aside from this I'll spend the rest of the week taking in the Central
Mass high school hockey tourney in Marlboro. Saw the end of a nail
biter with Wachusett nocking off Shrewsbury 2-1 (upset) and
Leominster beating a pesky Marlboro team 6-0 last night. (You should
have seen the hitting in this one...a beauty) I missed the
N.Middlesex/Fitchburg game but assume NM took it. Next games are this
Wednesday, Leominster/Wachusett & N.Middlesex (?)/Algonquin. Times
are 5:45 and 8:00pm. Anyone interested in hooking up drop me a line.

| | ...hey George, I wuz there fer that Blue Devil game also (I *am* from
Lemon_Town, after all)...great game as you said....maybe I'll stop by
on Wednesday to root 'em on...sure the hell beats watchin' the B's
stumble thru the "Season from Hell".....

onto last night's debaucle: Carey looked *real* jittery, lets in some
real softies, Ghost-Boy pulls him, B's lose 4-2....the only B playing
his heart out was Cap'n Ray (2 goals)....B's were just running in
circles, looked like the IHL All-Star game rather than 2 of the
Original Six-ers playing, MAN they suked big-time....

Ran into ol' Jer in the coffee line....almost attacked me, JEEESH!!!
Get some decaf, willya Jer??? And I reminded Jerry that the 1st game
wayy back in the early 80's) Andy Moog played after coming to Boston,
he got blown out by Les Habbies, 5-2......hopoe this is just nerves
on Carey, not a harbinger of things to come....

Tough start for Jim Carey................4 goals in one
period against the Maple Leafs, C'mon. Hope it's just the
first game jitters now that he's w/ the B's. Carey's not
even gonna see any action in beantown 'til they come home
    on the 13th against Montreal.......

On another note, Tallas played good last night after S-s-s-Smokin'
    Jim got the hook....

| 130.6 | Missed most | USCTR1::tay1dhcp96-183.tay1.dec.com::HIGGINSGE |  | Tue Mar 04 1997 09:24 | 11 |
| | I missed most of last nights game but did catch some on the AM dial
with Newmy & Bricks. It was 3-1 when I tuned out and looks like the D
coughed up a couple that Carey couldn't handle. Checked back in late
in the 3rd during Emeril Live commercials. Was Carey really that
shakey or did he have no support?
Hey Mac. I'll be at the Lemonstir game tomorrow. 5:45 I'll be leaving
TAY around 5:00. Look for the 6'1"/230 lber with glasses. Try and
roust Pelkey too. Should be a good game!

| | Come on Mac...stop living in the past will ya! This is 1997....start
    getting with the program :-)))

I'm not blasting Carey but when a keeper has sh*t in front of him he's
going to play like sh*t. No keeper can survive with a team like the
Ruins playing up in front of him.

Soooo.....Pats get to the stooper bowel, Celtics and Ruins are mired in
the cellar.......How 'bout those Red Sawks????? Man, George is lining
up for his World Series tickets as I write. Hey George, maybe you can
frame them and hang them next to your Ruins Stanley Cup tickets in your
    bathroom.

Get this season over with so the Whalers can bow out in 4 and let's hit
    the golf course!

| | ...now that's the most intelligent thing you've said in a while there,
Jerry.....can't wait to hit the golf course!!!!

and last I heard it was 1997....or am I halucinating again????
Is it really 1966? That was the last time the B's have been this
    friggin bad....

Last night hte Bruins gave up more odd man rushes in the first 2
periods than most teams give up all year! The Leafs had clean
breakaways, 2on0's, 2on1's, you name it... Good thing they were the
leaf's otherwise the score would've been much worse.

As for Carey's performance... I think he made a few good saves. I think
he was shaky over all and probably scared seeing the kind of help he
    can expect from this team.

As for the other 2 no-names... that's what they are.. I don't need to
wait I think the B's got screwed and 2 years from now these guys will
still be fighting to even make any big club while Ranford and Oates
at a minimum will still be looked at as being in the league elite.

Stupid trade for stupid management and stupid fans for not demanding
    more.

This team has no defense, no offense and no chance.
