2369.0. "HiNote Ultra RAS connection speed, power and modem" by RTOMS::BRODIEI () Fri Apr 11 1997 17:10
    HiNote Ultra (I) CT475
    BIOS v1.41
    P.N.B. Rio PC-Card Modem (flashed to 33.6k)
    Windows95 + Plus + SP1

When dialling in using RAS I am consistently seeing better connection
rates when operating on battery than when on mains power; e.g. batt
28.800 (max. speed of our RAS server modem pool), mains 14.400 !

I know this sounds crazy, but could the (transformed) mains power
supply be interfering with the modem comunications ?

    Thank you. Iain.
