We are wondering if there is an external battery charger
available/orderable for the Secondary battery on the recently announced
HiNote VP laptops?
There is a part number for a battery charger but from the reading I
have done it appears to me as if this is for the main battery. Or can
it work for both?

The external charger DOES fit into the secondary battery and appears to
function as a charger for it (at least the lights come on when I try
it.) The connector is on the side and is a bit of a loose fit with the
charger's prongs. I don't know if this is intended to work (or if it
might damage the battery, though this seems unlikely to me.)
