I service a customer's PCP35 laptops on site (State of Ohio), and I have one that is losing time. Usually I replace the 3V Li battery (29-30632-01) round - under the keyboard but I've done that twice and it's still losing time. The box the last battery came in had the following label: PO#: VS218290 AST-175000-013 29-30632-01 Qty: 1 AUR WRTY 02/27/97 Made in SWITZERLAND i'm concerned about the line AUR WRTY: 02/27/97 and wonder if this means the batteries are old and stale. does anyone know how to check? How I can get fresher batteries? should stockrooms be purged of dated batteries? thanx

re: OTIGER::R_WHEELER
Perhaps the slow clock problem is not due to the battery. Sometimes,
oscillators go out of spec...
