To run the XING software you need a copy of Version 3.1 of XING and a
copy of the IOSUPD.EXE file from Microsoft support directory.
A copy of XING 3.1 and IOSUPD were shipped with the HiNote VP545 (MMX)
systems. I will look to see if we can make the software and updated
file available on the DEC web site for VP500.

Ditto here too!
My group just received their VP535's and there is no S/W for MPEG! Not
even a reference to what you need to "make it work"!
