| | I presume from the documentation you need one machine as a server (I
    never tried it, but I take it a machine cannot be a server AND a
    client,  la ROTT ?).

    Anyone fancy setting up a Digital iFRAG server, then? :-)

    nope, you dont need a unix box, you can also run the server and client
    on the same machine....

    the unix box is needed for building queues and such for lots of
    different games.

    if i get some time, ill write up what i did to get it working on only
    pc's, but it really wasnt too tricky.

    here's my ifrag.cfg

    ;
    ; Sample iFrag Configuration File
    ;
    nick=Tarl
    heretic=c:\htic
    hereticpwads=c:\here\wads
    videolines=50

    heres wattcp.cfg

    my_ip = 204.128.182.1
    netmask = 255.255.255.0
    nameserver = 204.128.182.1
    gateway=204.128.182.1
    domainslist="portkar.com"

    heres default.rsp (this may need to be ifrag.rsp - just RTFM) :')

    -describe How did you know I didn't RTFM?!?!?!?!
    -heretic
    -warp 1 1
    -skill 4
    -deathmatch

    ------------------- all the above is for the server side

    the server then types ifrag -server

    the client side.... hmmm.... i dont have a client handy but i think
    everything is the same except that the client types

    ifrag -client server.ip.address

    huh? are you saying you want a card, have the card or need a driver?
    :') (the driver 3c5x9pd.com is on the 3com disk or probably available
    from http://www.3com.com as well)
