Hi all,
I just started getting into Doom. I have the v1.2 shareware version
running on my DECpc 433st at work. I just ran into a problem where
after starting a new game it all of a sudden just does what it wants.
What I mean is it starts shooting all by itself and won't stop. Has
anyone run into this problem.
Thanks,
Kevin

I put the gmouse driver on my PC and it seems kinda lame compared
to the usual drivers. What I mean is that the mouse is responding
rather slow and that while trying to make turns it is super slow and
takes alot to get the movement needed for the game.. Has anyone else
run into this situation.
Thanks,
Kevin

all (most) mouse drivers have various sensitivity settings. These
control how fast and how far you have to mous the
Move the physical mouse to make a corresponding amount of screen
movement.
Sounds like you need to change the driver settings. (Software)

I have an interesting mouse problem. I have a Logitec 3 button mouse. In order to support the newest firmware for my Thrustmaster WCSII, I upgraded the mouse driver to version 6.24 (from 6.21). Now Doom has problems where the mouse randomly takes off on it's own at some point in the game, running about wildly and firing at will...adjusting the mouse sensitivity to minimum merly causes this problem to hold off a little longer, once it starts I invariably have to crash the PC as I can't control things long enough to exit gracefully. sigh... dave | |||||
