| | If any of you are diehard DOOM fans, like myself, and play the game
frequently on the level ULTRA-VIOLENCE, you undoubtedly get into sticky
situations from time to time - situations so sticky, you may be forced to
restart your entire game. Well, no more!
Others of you may have already completed all of the Doom episodes, and would
just like to wade through DOOM's levels more thoroughly, examining all its
secrets without interruption. Or some of you might like to experience the
thrill of killing the Barons of Hell with your lowly pistol or your even
lowlier fist.
You may already be aware that Id Software has traditionally
incorporated secret "cheat codes" in their games which grant the player
invulnerability, extra points/items, etc. Well, DOOM is no exception.
Here's a list of the cheat codes available in DOOM. Just load or start a new
game, and type these codes at the keyboard. Experiment! (WARNING: cheat
codes do not work in network games or on the dreaded NIGHTMARE level, and, as
I've noted below, there are certain limitations to using them in the Shareware
version.)
iddqd - Invulnerability - nothing can hurt you (a.k.a., God mode)
idkfa - All weapons, full ammo, and 200% armor
(you can only use weapons 6 and 7 in the registered version)
idspispopd - Toggles clipping mode on/off. With clipping off, your character
can walk through walls, monsters, on water, etc.
idclev - Type this code followed by two numbers (1-3) and (1-9) to warp
	 directly to a designated episode/level (e.g., idclev 2 9 will warp
you to level 9 of episode 2, Shores of Hell). Note: you can only
warp to episodes 2 and 3 with the registered version of DOOM.
idbehold - Calls up a menu of bonuses from which you may choose.
iddt - Typing this code when viewing the map reveals all secrets, typing it
a second time while at the all-map, reveals all objects/creatures on
the level. Typing it again returns map to its normal state.

Have fun!
