I guess I was hoping that a Mormon reader in the vicinity would know how
to look someone up through church resources.

I'd always heard that the most thorough geneological records in the U.S.
are kept by the Mormons in Mesa.

	The Church as a whole has been tightening down on distributing phone 
	numbers and addresses of Church members to the general public and even
	to Church members. Not everyone searching for such information has good 
	intentions and Church members have a right to privacy just like everyone 
	else. I am a member and live in the Phoenix area, but am left to pretty 
	much the same resources as everyone else - the phone book, my own contacts,
	etc... 

	Brimhall and Christensen are both common last names among LDS members in
	the Phoenix area. If she grew up in the Phoenix area and you knew her parents 
	names that might help. If you knew of a mutual friend's name that might help.

	Yes, the Church probably has the most complete genealogical records, but 
	I've never heard of locating someone living that way. The records are for
	tracing our ancestry, i.e. those who are dead. Then again, I am not that
	familiar with what kind of information is available in the genealogical
	records.

	I'm not sure how many Digital employees are left in the Phoenix area
	that are LDS. I don't think there are many left so your resources are
	few and far between.

    I used to know Dianne's parents' names.  I used to know her sisters'
    names.  It's been nearly thirty years.  These names have sunk into the
    deepest recesses of my memory, which was not too sharp to begin with.
    
    Her parents lived in Glendale when we were attending Phoenix College.
    We were both fine art majors.
    
    Dianne and I had a mutual friend, another Mormon, named Sharon (with
    whom I corresponded with during her college years in Heber, AZ).  I
    don't remember Sharon's maiden name, but I remember she married a man
    named Sterling Bigler.  As I recall, both Sharon's maiden name and
    married name were also fairly common in the Mormon community.
