Okay, another dumb question (that's been asked several times in this conference already but I don't understand the answers!)... What IS the CDA Interoperability kit? Specifically... 1) What does "higher functionality" (quoted from Install Guide) actually mean? What conversions/formats are/aren't supported with/without it? 2) If I've already got >V1.4 CDA Base Services on my system, do I need to install the CDA Interoperabilty Kit? 3) What's the relationship betwen the new formats supplied in MUPA and the CDA Interoperabilty Kit? Thanks, Andy

None are unsupported, it's just that the results were not very good. The
kit gives you the CDA components that went into DECwindows/Motif V1.0
but for the XUI version of DECwindows.
>2)	If I've already got >V1.4 CDA Base Services on my system, do I need
>	to install the CDA Interoperabilty Kit?
Maybe. You only need to install it if you use the old XUI DECwindows, or
V1.0 of DECwindows/Motif (the kit also contains a patch to the motif
CDA$ACCESS.EXE .) Attempting to install it will do no harm, since it
checks the versions anyway and won't install if it doesn't need to.
>3)	What's the relationship betwen the new formats supplied in MUPA and the
>	CDA Interoperabilty Kit?
None, the interoperability kit updates the CDA base components.
    Cheers,
        Paul.
