The EW housekeeping procedure runs, it processes several users and
then, all of sudden while processing a user it gives the following
error (taken from the log file):

    Drawer: [XXXX.YYYY]MAIN emptying wastebasket
INCREMENT needs at least 1 parameter(s), only 0 supplied
Command syntax error in INCREMENT<CR><LF> #no_of_drawers<CR><LF> -^ Error
    Drawer: [XXXX.YYYY]MAIN reorganized

It then continues to process users and then further down while
processing another user it crashes for good and exits!
Here is that part of the log file:

    Drawer: [LAMBRAKIS.PANAGIOTIS]MAIN emptying wastebasket
    ^G^G<CR><LF><CR><LF><CR><LF><CR><LF>ALL-IN-1 has been shut down
    Due to system housekeeping<CR><LF><CR><LF>
    %SM_EW-E unexpected error condition
    -DELETE-W-FILNOTDEL, error deleting !AS
    %SM_EW-I-DONE processing complete for %SM_EW
    %SMJACKET-I Invoking common END_BATCH procedure
%END_BATCH-I Performing End batch job procedures for "EW"

And then it completes the log file and exits.

    Any clue on the above?

| Hi,

I think you can ignore the first error. The ability for EW to crash
unexpectedly has been reported before and it is always when the
reorganize drawer option has been selected. I am of the theory that it
it is RMS Convert that is crashing, but I have no proof.

    Cheers

| 3986.2 | EW used to work OK... | ATHINA::RALLIS | Nicholas Rallis | Wed Mar 16 1994 12:28 | 10 |
| Stuart,

thanks, any idea what I should do? Should I exclude the REORG. FIL.
CAB. option from this h/k procedure? The EW h/k proc. used to work o.k.
for almost over a year and a half! It started doing this lately...

    regards

    Nicholas

| Hi,

Yes do try running without reorg to prove that it is in that area. Did
you change your VMS version in the last year & a half?

    Cheers

| 3986.4 | OK, I'll try it. | ATHINA::RALLIS | Nicholas Rallis | Wed Mar 16 1994 13:32 | 13 |
| OK, I' ll try your suggestion.

Yes, our VMS is V5.5-2, since last August, with ALL-IN-1 V3.0 installed
    in June 1992.

I am leaving now for a customer site (out of town). Be back on Mon.
morning. Bye and cheers. I 'll schedule the EW for the week-end without
the REORG. option and I'll let you know.

    thanks again,

    Nicholas
