    ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1 upgraded to MUPA. VMS V5.5-2.

After the MUPA upgrade the new A4WPSPLS.PS (dated 8-Dec-93) was used
to replace WPSPLUS.PS in WPL$PRT: (to facilitate correct scaling for
    A4 Paper).

After doing this, any document printed with a number-up greater than 0
does not get printed. Instead the error message....

"%DCPS-W-EXECSTKOV, execstackoverflow: exec nesting is too deep -
     offending command is --nostringval--"

"DCPS-E-FLUSHING, rest of job (to EOJ) will be ignored"

is printed on a trailer page.

This condition is reversable by replacing the old WPSPLUS.PS (and
putting up with a right margin somewhere off the edge of the paper).

    Any ideas ?

    Chris

| Hi Chris See STARS article "PostScript Prolog File A4WPSPLS.PS And NUMBER_UP Gives %LPS-W-EXECSTKOV" in database OAWPS. This problem is stated in the Release Notes for ICF 12, on page 17, "Known Restrictions". Workaround: Do not use A4WPSPLS.PS in conjunction with NUMBER_UP. Solution: Patch A1_FIX015030 (S3.0-015) fixes this problem. Regards, Peter | |||||
