Modifying help text from the CM menu I found 2 problems:
1- Unable to use WPS-PLUS as editor
When you edit the runoff text the file is empty.
It is working with EDT.
2- Unable to close the file
Example: I copy the EMC HLP file from base to develop.
I can edit the file, then I don't modify it and when I close
the file I get the following message :
Verifying element . . .
Verification failed due to incorrect format
Do you want to re-edit the Help module? [Y/N]
I debug using A1trace.log and it seems there's a problem with content
of symbol #CM_LINE which can't find the first line of the file (the
1rst line is "1 EMC" in my example)
I can turnaround the problem using manuel compilation of the runoff
file and using dcl library/replace commands to oa$site_lib:oahelp.hlb.
Does somebody know about this bug (or maybe smth wrong into my method).
Answer will be appreciated. Franck.

Hi,
The way you are trying to modify help is correct by the sounds of it.
I have only seen this problem on AXP, are you on an AXP?

Hello, Yesterday a customer reported the same problem, which is also reproducible on our V3.0A system. Both are not AXP systems. Is there a solution for this problem ? Regards, Martin | |||||

ALL-IN-1 V3.0A added some entries to the CDA file types table in OAET.MAR,
one of which was:
ct <.RNO>, <RNO>
This allowed RUNOFF messages to be formatted when displayed but causes
problems when editing files with a .RNO file type. If you remove this
entry from the table the problems with editing RUNOFF help files should be
fixed. The ALL-IN-1 V3.1 version of OAET.MAR does not have this entry in
the table.
