    My group is preparing to e-mail a newsletter, published as a postscript
    file, to many ALL-IN-1 users within the company.

    A number of A1 users have reported difficulties when trying to print
    the postscript versions of prior editions of this newsletter.
    
    Right now I am unfamiliar with how to print e-mailed postscript files
    from within ALL-IN-1, including the different ways that postscript
    printing services may have been customized by A1 system managers.
    
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi Geoff,

    Rather than flood the corporate e-mail network with your newsletter,
    have you considered placing it in a VTX infobase (e.g. LIVEWIRE) so
    that those who so desire may go read and/or print it from VTX?  If
    you're interested, contact GRIMLY::LWIRE_IP to get your newsletter
    into the LIVEWIRE infobase.

    I realize this doesn't answer your PostScript (TM) printing questions,
    but this may be a better-for-all alternative.

Do you create the PostScript file/document using ALL-IN-1?

Do you mail the file/document using ALL-IN-1?

What version of ALL-IN-1 are you using?


If ALL-IN-1 knows that a message is PostScript, or is told to handle a
message as PostScript, then all you have to do is print it to an ALL-IN-1
printer destination which is defined as handling PostScript.  The problems 
usually occur when the PostScript file is sent through a mail system that 
does not distinguish between ASCII text and PostScript, or the file 
contains other ASCII text in addition to the PostScript.

I would need more detailed information about the sites which have had 
problems to comment further.
