I have a customer who is running WPS-PLUS V4.1 and has noticed a
problem and wants to know if it has been recognised before.
They have a document which when they try to do a GOLD S followed by a
GOLD J followed by a GOLD F to file the document when it is completed
they get the following error, "error occurred during operation, calling
null_pointer. Press exit to file document to last checkpoint"
I can reproduce the problem every time, but it only appears to happen
when the GOLD F follows the GOLD J command. When done in any other
order, ie, GOLD J, GOLD S then GOLD F; everthing works as expected. It
is a bit strange but the customer is concerned that this has not been
noted before and wants to know if engineering are aware of the problem!
So if anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate some more
information as to why this might be happening, and will it be fixed in
a future release?
Thank you,
Emma van Rixtel

Hi Emma,
Maybe WPS-PLUS note 1027 is relevent ? I do not know what other effects
the changes to LOOKUP.TXT may have.
Regards,
Clive

LOOKUP.TXT defines which lexicons you have on your system (e.g.
English, British etc.,) and which files they map to.
Here's how I believe the entries are populated for American and British
(proper :-) ) English, and what each line means:
LOOKUP.TXT Entries for American English:
! Spell entry
0 2 2 LCI$SCHMCO
! Thesarus entry
0 2 3 LCI$ETHMCO
! Usage entry
0 2 4 LCI$UAHMCO
! User dictionary
0 2 5 LCI$UDHMCO
LOOKUP.TXT Entries for British English:
! Spell entry
0 5 2 LCI$SCHMCO
! Thesarus entry
0 5 3 LCI$ETHMCO
! Usage entry
0 5 4 LCI$UAHMCO
! User dictionary
0 5 5 LCI$UDHMCO

... and the last line in LOOKUP.TXT should always be (all languages)
0 1 5 LCI$UDHMCO

Re .4
(Good to see you are still following this file, Stefan!)
Does the "0 1 5" line have to be the last line, or does it just have to
be there somewhere?
On the live (but well hacked!) IOSG system, we have the american lines,
followed by the "0 1 5" line, followed by the British lines, and things
seem to work...
