Hi All,
A customer has version 2.3 installed and I am finding it hard to solve
a problem with boilerplates. I feel that the version is really
unimportant.
What it boils down to is that the customer wants to print a listing of
all the people in the ALL-IN-1 phone directory for example, the
customers want's to manipulate the BLP's for the other options as well.
The customer want's to add "CONFIDENTIAL" at the top of the listing
(it's very easy to do just add "CONFIDENTIAL" in the header boilerplate),
now comes the catch they wanted to add "CONFIDENTIAL" as a footer.
I cannot see any parameters to the MERGE function that allows for
footers. MERGE_LINE seems to be the other option and what the customer
discovered is that they get the "CONFIDENTIAL" being printed at the top
of the other page, so I am told.
I would be grateful if you could help me out with any workarounds, I am
a bit stuck for ideas at the moment. If an example for the PHALLB.BLP
can be given I would be in am sure I can help the customer with the
rest.
Regards,
Sunil

Footers are added FIRST in the header boilerplate, and their contents
are separated from the header by a line feed (CTRL/L, <LF>) character.
Strange, but it works...

Hi Mr. T,
Well we have done the strange boilerplate customisation and put
CONFIDENTIAL and LF as follows:
<&TAB 33><&BOLD> CONFIDENTIAL
<LF>
Followed by the header information.
We do indeed get the footer. But we have a slight problem with the
page length now, in that we don't get details of two people on the one
page. It's one person per page.
James Bond 007 is wondering if his cooperation could achive this or
not ? We have tried page length manipulation etc. without much success.
Have you got any other suggestions ?
Regards,
Sunil
