    Hi All,

I came across a "problem" with the DAC Delete account copy from transfer
area option. Well to be honest it's really the documentation on page
    8-19 of the Management Guide.

It's quite misleading in that it mentions in the 2nd paragraph that
mentions the CAN and XCAN options, these no longer exist, in ALL-IN-1
IOS version 3.0. It looks like near enough all of the description is
from the 2.4 manual in that paragraph.

Our customer here was very wary about using the various options because
of there bad experience under previous of ALL-IN-1 IOS. So I had to
explain the "new and improved" (sounds like an OMO ad. on tv OM by the
way is a washing powder in England :-)), method of transfering
accounts. Basically the Delete option should be used. What is the CAS
option ? If you enter CAS nothing happens except for the cursor
blinking at you. We selected 1 account and entered CAS.

I am aware that there is an ALL-IN-1 IOS documentation conference, but
I thought that more people subscribe to this conference so it would be
a better place to air this.

    Regards,

    Sunil

PS - You lucky people you have had me entering topics in here twice in
    a day ;-).

| Hi Paul,

Looking at the documentation I can't see what CAS is ment to be doing.
Is it just ment to fill up the menu ? Can someone explain what DAC and
some of the associated option are. The documentation is really bad I
    am sorry to say.

It's gone mid-nigh, well it's 00:47 now. I am trying to emulate Andrew
and having a good laugh at the same time :-).

    Regards,

    Sunil

| Hi Andrew,

I couldn't quite remember last night what the customer had said.
However recalling the conversation it really revolved around the
documentation and lack of error messages, in the case of CAS.
If nothing is selected and a CAS is done no error messages are
    displayed.

As I recall the customer was happy with the new Transfer account options
and mentioned that it's one of the best improvements in 3.0. As to
SPRing the above the customer was not too keen and felt they could live
with it for the time being.

    >Sydney who claimed it was 2am - why not stand in front of the camera and
    >wave tomorrow?

I would like to, I don't think this will be possible as I will not be
able to make it. Two reason frustration with the audio channel
breaking up, so I couldn't get much out of it. The other reason this
weekend I will be finnishing of my presentation of DEC MAILworks
server, for my presentation at DECUS.

    Thanks,

    Sunil

| Belatedly,

CAS when there's nothing selected doesn't give an error anywhere else
either. I just tried it at EM II. I'm not sure that I'm very worried
    about that!
