    ALL-IN-1 3.0-1, VMS 5.5-1, CDA$ACCESS 1.5-910701
My customer is unable to send compound documents to VMS that have been
packed, mailed and then unpacked. She gets an error
%oa-e-cdafpack, error in cda pack operation
-oafc-e-srvnotavail, file cabinet server is not available
The file cabinet server is running/enabled.
She is on a workstation setting host to the main node of the cluster
    where ALL-IN-1 is installed.
She believes she has CDAPAT011 installed (how do you tell?)
The precise course of events is :-
. VMSMail a Decwrite document to someone
. The recipient does extract/nohead filename.dots (this gives it RMS sematics
  of DOTS)
. DT RVC into ALL-IN-1 and file it
. Create an ALL-IN-1 IOS mail message and ATTach the file cabinet compound
  document
. EM Send the file as an attachment to another ALL-IN-1 user
. The recipient Reads and Files the attachment answering Yes to Unpack it.
. They then DT SV to send to VMS
At this point she gets an error in CDA pack operation but I get a .doc and a
.doc_style file created.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
CLive

ANAL/IMAG and get the Image Id. If you didn't have DECwindows/Motif
    installed, the id will be:
        CDA V1.4-911015
If you do have DECwindows/Motif installed, the id will be:
        CDA V1.5-911030
(CDAPAT011 is actually two patch kits in one - it contains CDA V1.4, and
    a patch to DECwindows/Motif V1.0.)
So, your customer doesn't have the CDAPAT011 installed. It may be that
your customer *did* install it, but then subsequently installed V1.0 of
DECwindows/Motif. In this case you have to re-apply CDAPAT011, to pick
    up the `second' patch.
    Cheers,
        Paul.

| FYI,

I had another customer with the same problem but they had CDAPAT011
installed. They stopped and started the file cabinet servers to fix he
    problem.

    Strange...
