Hi,

A customer upgraded ALL-IN-1 to V3.0 and a problem arose during the install
with converting the CM_FORM_LIBS data file to CM$FORM$LIBS (problem is 
record size for file does not match form).

It seems the CM_FORM_LIBS file only has one record in it - obviously something
amiss here. Can I replace this file with one off another system?


In addition the ALL-IN-1 startup when "Defing Customization Management 
logicals..." comes up with

Error opening SCRIPT file "CM_DEFINE_APPLICATION_LOG"
-RMS-E-DNF, directory not found


Suggestions?



Despite all this, CM seems to work OK.

    directory not found means I think that you have a bad record in one
    of CM$APP, CM$MAF (and possibly CM$AUTH$LOCATIONS) so I would recommend
    checking those datasets for integrity.
    
    the CM$FORM$LIBS is a new one - either that or i've had too much time
    off - if you decide to copy from another system use SM CSZ LFL DFL
    to ensure to check you hqve a full set of <form-lib> name,
    <site-form-lib> name and of course DEVELOP. Did you get a specific
    error message during post-install such as CM010???

    based on a STARS article that was largely written by a famous dutchman
    (no not Jan) but has my name on it (sorry simon!) I can tell you
    that the recommended solution for the case of the old CM045's apart from
    lots of Heinken is:
    
    Edit OA$LIB:CM_POST_RUN.COM so that the following 4 lines are not
    commented out:
    o do oa$lib:post_lock_from_libs.scp
    o do oa$lib:post_convert_form_libs.scp
    o do cm_post_fill_form_libs_llv.scp
    o do cm_post_fill_form_libs_share.scp                        
    and then run the COM file.
