See note 2145. You may want to send a message to mrktng::slater.

Also, you may want to check in the A1INFO conference.

| | Lots of presentations from Corning Glass have been made at DECUS. I
think there's a guy named Pat Scalapino who has made a career going to
DECUS to talk about ALL-IN-1 on solid-state disks. Basically they do
wonderful things for ALL-IN-1 as long as you don't put an SDAF or
    other data file on them...

Care to expand on this statement. SDAFs usually don't fit. The other
ALL-IN-1 data files seem to work just fine. Most VMS hot files work
extremely well (sysuaf, rightslist,...). I can name about a dozen
customers who use them in this way without any problem.

| | Hi Marc,

The comment about SDAFs came from the nice people at Corning, as far as
I can recall. They must have some SDAFs that do fit -- maybe they purge
people's mail very quickly, or unshare it within a month of being
created. As I don't have a solid state disk here to play with I can
neither confirm nor deny their feelings, but I'm sure that you have
some comment to make on the subject based on performance testing in the
    lab.

    Tony
