I am looking at the possibility of setting up an application only drawer. i.e. a drawer that can only be accessed from within one specific application, written in ALL-IN-1. The documents in the drawer, which is private to each user, are normal WPSplus. However they may not be accessed via the normal WP/EM subsystems. A quick scan of the code gives the impression that modifying the scripts FC$DRAWER_RECOG and FC$DRAWER will go a long way to implementing this. Has anyone done anything like this before ? Any other ideas problems ? Regards John.

You may have problems keeping remote people out via the FCS, also
TeamLinks users.
The FCS will check access based on VMS principles (UIC, rights ID,
ACL etc).

RE: -1 No the 'application' drawer is only for the user himself and only accessed via ALL-IN-1 so that should not be a problem. What the application does is keep a lot of other information about the documents in a parallel administration, and this is the reason that we don't want this cabinet accessed via WP/EP etc. i.e. if the document is deleted via WP then the rest of the administration will be messed up. RE: 0 Am I correct that ALL drawer references are validated via FC$DRAWER ? Regards John. | |||||
